We Do Some Crazy Stuff

Well today is the day of the release of the new iPhone 4.
After a week of waiting and a few days of playing with the new OS for it I can say its all mine. I am one of the lucky 600,000 people in the USA that got one of the pre-order phones. Now here is the where the fun starts. Me and my coworkers decided to pick Mission Viejo Mall for our pick location and it turned out to be a great choice for a number of reasons.

First the line didn't get as long. Well it didn't seem long until we left and saw how long it really was. We got in line at 4:30ish am this morning and were about 30 people back from the front of the line. (Side note person number 60 or 70 was Mr Warren G. himself the G-Funk child. Right before the opening of the store they moved him to number 1 must be nice). Once they opened the store it took about 20 mins to get into the store get my phone and send my first text.
(you ask to whom? I say, don't worry about it, you know if it was you).

Once I got back to the office me and the boys where walking around with Face Time running showing everyone how rad it was. So after doing almost nothing all day I have headed home and am now making her all gouch! It is truly the raddest phone on the earth even with out Verizon.
If you have one lets log some Face Time.

VIVA Las Vegas

Well its that time of year again, the days are getting longer and the nights are getting warmer. And that can only mean one thing 4th of July is coming. Now every year I like to make a quick trip out to Vegas to pick up some good fireworks (if you know what I mean). Usually this is just a turn around trip drive out, buy fireworks, maybe grub on some buffet, then drive back, round trip 7 to 10 hours depending on traffic. Well this year was different. This year I wanted to make a weekend of it. This year was also very special because I was going to get to see one of the coolest girls I know, Ashley and her lil boy Matix. It was the icing on the cake. Usually I have a friend come along. But long behold I had to run solo on this trip because everyone had stuff to do. But it turned out to be a great trip anyways. I did way more alone then I think I would have done if someone tagged along.

The trip went something like this.
Left work around noon on friday got out to Vegas in no time at all. First stop Buffalo Bills to ride Desperado. I have not been on this since I was in high school I forgot how good the first drop is on that ride.

Next stop was Las Vegas. Where I checked into my hotel that turned out to be a time share, Club de Soleil. It was a nice place just off the strip. It was quite had a gym, pool, spa, tennis courts and a putting course.

After I checked in I got cleaned up and hit the town. First thing I did was head over to the Las Vegas Gun Range. I kept seeing sign for it so I said what the heck. I rented a Thompson old school gangster gun, turned out to be a great time.

After that I head out of town to a little place called Valley of Fire. $200 later with a trunk full of fun

I headed back to the strip to meet up with another old friend. We had dinner and chilled for a bit before she had to go to work. After that I just cruised around the strip until like midnight looking at hotels and stuff.

When I got back to my hotel I deiced to jump in the pool and then sit in the hot tub for a bit. It was a perfect way to end the day. The next morning I got to hang out with Ash. It was great to see her again it had been 3 years since the last time I saw her. We had lunch and talked for a bit then I headed home. I got home in 3 hours and 30 mins with just enough time to get a surf in before sunset. All and all the trip was great for many reason. Looking forward to going back soon.

DFH (Last One)

Ok so I have been posting a lot about this event. And I have good reasoning. Along time ago when I decided to blog I said it would only be about things that I went to and things that I feel everyone should know about. Well this event is BOTH!. The event was amazing Billabong sold out the event once again with all proceeds going to the Invisible Children Foundation. This event was the biggest ever with one night of art, music and fashion all in one place. Well below are photos and the new video from Kid Sister (who I might add killed it) from the night.

Paramount Studios

Today I went to work at Paramount Studios. No No I didnt get a new job. Billabong is having this years Design for Humanity on Paramount Studios backlot. So today I went down to help set up. It was cool to be working on a backlot again. Again you say, yes again. When I was a kid I use to do some extra work with my best friend Aaron on movies. But thats another story. So anyways I was to meet another coworker at 6:30 am to get a jump start before the rest of the crew got in at 11. Well he hit traffic so I had a good hour to wonder around the backlot before he arrived, and because of that I can now say that I have stood in the same window that Kramer dropped the oil bladder from in the T.V. show Seinfeld. I know you want to know if I saw any movie stars and the answer is yes. I ran into Megan Fox and after talking with her for about 20 mins she asked if I wanted to do a love scene with her. Ok ok so that didnt happen but I did see a guy who is a pro body builder his arms were bigger than my head. So anyways back to the story. I got to just walk around and check things out. It was super fun and I cant wait for the event tomorrow. Here are some photos.

Below are two videos for the event the first is just a Trailer to get you amped about the event. The second is about the charity that the event is for. Last year it was about getting fresh water to everyone in the world. This year its about saving kids in Africa that are being taken from their homes and being made to fight a war. Here is the link to donate Invisible Children.
